I have a compaq presario v2000, and I need another battery for it, does anyone know the best place (online) to purchase this and also what is the difference between the 6cell and 12 cell battery, I am looking for the most hours I can get b/c I am traveling...THANKS!

a 12 cell battery would last longer on a single charge than a 6 cell battery. As for price, I would check out shop.com or shopping.com, something like that. It shows you all the common places on the web that have what you are looking for and which ones will have the lowest price.

eBay is your best bet as Compaq prices are sky high.
more cells = more energy = longer working time.

Try eBay to get an idea of the market value; then search your local Craigslist, if you want a used one.
If not, try pricegrabber.com, or other buying comparison sites.
