to reinstall press f12 when the computer starts
put the windows or vista cd in then chose usb/ dvd drive as the boot option
this will allow you to install windows / vista!
but remember this may wipe your hard drive clean, so back up everything first!

No.. it extremely isn't any longer attainable to downgrade from vista to xp.. coz that's common characteristic of the abode windows version tat to no longer permit downgrade.. whether u attempt to intall abode windows xp on a vista run computer it extremely isn't any longer attainable to do it, even on an identical time as the gadget boots.. this occurs in many computer s.. so try formatting the troublesome disk through making it as an further one in yet another computer and format the hard drive.. now that's as stable as new to place in any working gadget..

First be sure to backup all your files that you may want to keep. Then pop in the xp cd, and restart your comp. As it restarts you should see,
"To boot from disk press any key"
Hurry and press any key before it moves on and starts windows vista.
It will take you to a menu and you should know what to do from there, just make sure you are reading carefully before you confirm anything.

Pop in the XP CD, start your Dell, press F11 for the boot menu, choose to boot from CD/DVD, and take it from there.

STOP don't do it i have heard there are many probs with vista i have the vista upgrade but will not put it on my comp till they fix ALLL the bugs

once you upgrade you cant downgrade. you will nee to reinstall xp, this will be the only way
