Same as your g(3a) question...

g(4a) = 3(4a) + 2 = 12a + 2

You are given a formula for g(x).

The question asks you for a specific value of x. In this case, 4a. So, substitute 4a into the formula wherever there is an x.

So, you get: 3(4a) + 2 = 12a + 2

g(x)=3x+2

here if the value of g is x the equation is 3x+2
so if the value of g is 4a the equation wud be
g(4a)=3(4a)+2
=>g(4a)=12a+2

therefore ur answer is g(4a)=12a+2
or a= -1/2

g(4a) means you substitue 4a in place of x.

g(4a) = 3(4a) + 2
g(4a) = 12a + 2

g(x)=3x+2
since you have g(x) and g(4a) you know that
x=4a
so if x+4a that gives you
3(4a)+2
12a+2

g(x) = 3x+2

g(4a) = g(x) so x = 4a

3(4a) +2

or g(4a) = 12a + 2
