Freemasonry is in most countries in the world where people value freedom and free thinking. I know for a fact that not all countries allow it however. For example, Freemasonry is forbidden in Iran. I know this because several members of my lodge are also members of the Grand Lodge of Masons of Iran in exile, and they meet at the Boston Masonic building because their country will not allow them in the country. Other people who were opposed to Freemasonry: Hitler and Stalin. People who were prominent freemasons: George Washington, Ben Franklin, Paul Revere.

Do you see a pattern here? Men like Hitler, Stalin, and Ahmadinejad are opposed to Freemasonry, and Washington, John Glenn, Ben Franklin, Winston Churchill, etc. were members.

So the answer to your question is no, we are not in every country. You need only look at the list of countries where we do not meet to see why.

I think think there is a complete *public* list. As mentioned above some countried do not allow the MAsonic lodge. I believe in Turkey all lodges are underground and very difficult to find. A way around this is what Opus Dei did. IN countries CAtholic churches were not allowed, OPus was able to open since they are a seperate entity but a soutce of conversion. Now such a body could exsist for MAsonry.

Further not eof interest is Iraq. There has never been one. Now you have Iraqi Lodge number 1 (can be found online). Mainly service members but open to Iraqis.

For the most, yes. The old Soviet Union has a Grand Lodge. The Republic of China may not have Masons while Taiwan does have Masons. Most African countries that are not Muslim have a Grand lodge. Saudia Arabia along with the adjoining Muslim countries do not allow Free Masonry.
