When I woke up this morning, I went to my pantry and saw that there was only a tiny bit of peanut butter left in the jar. I questioned everyone in the house, and nobody will admit to it.
I know I didn't do it this time, so let's have it folks...
Who ate all my peanut butter,and why didn't you save me any?

You probably will not believe me, but the mice got out last night. I think they visited your house. When they returned this morning, they looked drunk and had sticky stuff on their whiskers. It kinda smelled like peanut butter, but my Jar of PB&J is still sealed. How can I make it up to you? Please be gentle with me.

The dogs wanted a midnight snack and I wanted a laugh. Do you know how funny it is to watch 15 dogs trying to lick all the peanut butter off their tongues at once?
I was doing you a favor anyway. Next time, keep the peanut butter in the fridge.

The evil faeries did it I PROMISE. OK, OK, they didn't eat it, but they brainwashed me, turning me into a peanut butter zombie momentarily. So, under the mystical influence of these very powerful beings (that DO exist, apparently), I grabbed a spoon and shoveled every last bit of that peanut butter.
I'm terribly sorry. I would offer to compensate you for your loss, but I spent my last penny saving the whales yesterday.

the REAL question is... who took the $5 bill.
when i ate all the peanut butter, i felt guilty & left a $5 bill.
i would have a "speaking to" with the spouse.

I just ate all the Jiff Creamy Peanut Butter and left the Chunky and other brands for you...so I don't know who ate that.
