I would just be careful, you don't know who is on the other side of the keyboard but hey making friends is what life is all about. I don't think i would neccesarily try to mee with these people right away but would try to get to know them a bit first and even then I would always have someone with me if i do decide to meet with them regardless of gender. It's not stupid, but it's also not likely that you will find a meaningful friendship here. There are as many nuts on Y/A as there are in any community so you need to be cautious. Also, it's not likely that you will ever meet any of these people face to face.

lol, its ok. you could even look for a boyfriend here. you just have to be careful though because you cant see through the internet or the computer screen.
