If you leave it up to fate as to who gets the best answer vote you shouldn't feel disappointed when the one that you wanted to get the vote doesn't get it. You have it within your power to cast that vote so why don't you? If there are more than one that you like and you have a hard time making a decision, then make a choice and tell the others that you like that if it were up to you, they would get top vote too. You have it within your power to write a note after your vote so just let them know. Everyone on here knows that you can't all be winners. One of the best ways to compliment someone in this type of setting is to tell the ones you didn't choose that you would have if you could have. No one gets anything but points out of all of this anyway so why should it matter? If it were a money contest or a trip to win then that would be something else. You asked the question, you should be able to decide what you were looking for in an answer. So make a decision. If you don't make one, then the ones that write the answer will vote for themselves of course. Who wouldn't?

This is hilarious. I have been thinking all day about posting a question asking why people leave their questions up in the air and let 'whoever' choose the best answer. I haven't done that yet, I hope I don't because I don't think it's fair to everyone. Like they said I want to make sure the right one I want gets the best answer vote. I've been going through the old answers that are tied and choosing what I think is a best answer, there was some there that was 1 year old! Whats up with that?

Yes that's happened to me before and yes I have been disappointed as to who has been rewarded the best answer. But then again I feel that if I had been on top of the situation that never would have happened. That only happens when I have too many questions open. I end up forgetting about certain questions. I always do try to remember to pick my best answers. Speaking of which I should start rewarding people with some best answers.

My first few questions I asked I let a couple go to vote and was appalled by the choice for best answer. Ironically it was the first answer on the list that got picked, I think a lot of people don't even read the answers, they just do it for the point.

I don't dare let a question go to vote now, besides I want my 3 points back !!!

You mean if you answer a question and "they" the votes, pick an answer you didn't prefer?
Yes, sometimes that answer just doesn't completely satiate your question, but to another person it does.

Tip: If you answer a question that not many have looked at or answered in a while and it is in voting, vote for yourself - you get one point for voting and ten for being the best answer.

Yes, it does work caz I have done it 12 times and it always works.

Neither, because of the fact that i will vote for Obama. He has been lower back and forth approximately all the applicants, yet for a on an identical time as now he has pronounced he believes Obama will win and it would desire to no longer be so undesirable in spite of everything. Why? because of the fact he does not have self assurance that McCain is any smarter than Bush and he will pass away in this ruinous conflict we are in touch in.

I should not be but sometimes in the back of my mind I say I could have done a better job than that .On the other hand, if I leave it up to others , I should not be disappointed because I gave up my choice and left it to the opinions of others.

The only time I let it go to vote is if all the answers are good and I can't decide who to give them to,so I'm happy with whoever they choose.

I did that by mistake once, I forgot about 6-7 questions, and they went into voting. I was disappointed who got best answer. Not who I would have picked. Oh well!

I am disappointed that it's a tie, after a WEEK.
That's the first and last time I put one up for a vote.
