Do you think they should've just:
(a. Replaced it with AFV (American's Funniest Home Video) every Wednesday?
(b. Ended right away (kill all the characters which would which would be a goood idea)?
(c. Take it off air for a while and bring it back in 2, or 3 years?
(d. Or should they end it for good?

e.) Keep it on the air. (That is what they are gonna do anyway, they already are signed for two-three more seasons: I don't really remember how much)
Why wasn't that an option?
First of all AFV doesn't not fulfill the pleasure I get while I watch Lost. Watching people accidentally get hurt can easily be fulfilled with YouTube and I can watch it on my own time.
Second, if they ended right away that would be lame and a cop out ending. It's like writing the first book of Harry Potter and in the second one making everyone die and saying "That's the end folks"
Third, what in the great blazes would you want to take a show off the air for two maybe three years and bring it back!?! That is crazy. Who would want to watch it then? Who would remember what happened two years before? I sure as hell don't have an attention span to want to go back to watching a show I was deprived of for two years.
Lastly, there are a lot of people that like watching Lost even with the stories long and ever changing and dragging plots. I sure enjoy it. I dun care if I never find out who the heck Jacob is or what the hell is wrong with the island, but if they keep acting like I am I'll keep watching it gladly :D

It's definitely been worth MY time! I've loved it from the very beginning. I haven't missed an episode since the crash. I'm in NO hurry for it to end. And I'd be just as happy if they DIDN'T take seasonal breaks, at all. And, when it DOES end, I'm planning on buying the whole thing on DVD so I can do it all again.
If you don't like it, you certainly don't have to watch it. But you shouldn't wish it away from those who DO like it just because you don't. I don't like American Idol, but I think it's OK if others do. It's simply a matter of taste.
