I have no idea how the fish would make it out of the house, but okay. Anyway, I would probably save the Gideon's Bible that I used to read the Romans Road when I became a Christian. If I could save more than one thing, I would save photo albums and paintings that my family has done.

If my family and cat are cool then it would be my cell phone. I know sounds shallow but my phone currently has over 200 pictures of my family, every phone number we would need to get help after they put the fire out and we have no place to go, i have about 400 songs save on the ipod portion of my phone, it would give me access to the Internet and most importantly it has about 150 hours worth of video of my children and other family members.

A medium size carry case I keep next to the computer. It has all my important documents, receipts for items in my home, policies and a couple Cd's that have all my wedding and family pictures saved on them. Grab it and go.

I've often thought about that. It is not an easy question to answer. With family and pets out, that is all that is IRREPLACEABLE but... I guess my safe with all important papers...just in case.
