I can see that happening in 2008-09 or 2009-10. This season would be too soon to expect such a jump, but, stranger things have happened.

Not likely. Not with having to play Denver, San Diego, and KC twice each. Raiders are trying to rebuild their OL, will probably be starting a rookie QB, new RB in Rhodes, new WR core. Thinks you could call a 6-10 season as progress for Oakland next season.

I think they will being good if they get 6 wins. They should tank the season to gran Darren McFadden to go allow with JaMarcus Russell. If that happens watch out in 2010.

i know my raiders well they'll do what they have to get their wins they'll get 500 easy yes there division will be tuff but remember one thing for years just as with dallas nfl teams have always had to prepare themselves for raiders and cowboys they know good or bad when these teams come to town they know their in for a game sure raiders got beat up bad last year but look what they did in the draft and who they have now we have coaches and players wait and see al davis wants one more superbowl before he dies and good winning seasons again believe me the fans can only put up with so much and al davis will not stand for another loosing season get ready people the invasion is about to begin

No. They'll be picking 1st or 2nd in the draft again next year. For them to finish at .500 they'll have to play .500 ball against the AFC West, and, I'm sorry to say that won't happen. They'll be lucky if they win one game in their division.

No. They're in one of the best conferences in the NFL. If they win one conference game, they'll be lucky. They'll then have to go 7-3 against non-conference opponents; included in that are the Dolphins, Titans, Bears, Colts, and Jaguars. Not going to happen.

I hate to be so definite when it comes to sports because you never know. So I’ll say they have a 3% chance of getting to, or above 500 this year.
