I am still very, very early in my pregnancy. Only 4wks & 1day today :) But I am already feeling those symptoms! I am nauseated, crampy, gassy, constipated, am leaking a good amount of discharge, and my boobs hurt. Other than that... Because of the nausea, I already know I can't eat/drink certain things. Like Milk. It makes me wanna vomit :( And Eggs, I can't eat those - Same thing. I don't know why you are not feeling many symptoms, but I have read that it is very normal for a good chunk of pregnant women to feel that way! It doesn't mean anything is wrong with you.. It just means your body handles pregnancy differently. Hey, you never know.. You being the way you are might also signify that you may have an AWESOME labor as well! I have a friend who was like you all through her pregnancy, and she had a fast and (literally) painless labor! So, don't stress, and actually be HAPPY that you aren't suffering like some of us ;) Haha. And don't worry... Your symptoms may surface soon enough. About the gender-check, I don't think you can figure it out on your own... You'd need a doc's guidance to see the sex on an ultrasound photo. I know you CANT see through the baby (so to speak) for organs or anything. Good luck to you!! xx

As others have said there are all kinds of myths, but they're only right half the time. There's amnio/CV, invasive, not quite as risky as once thought, expensive.

There is also a blood test you can do, but as far as I know it's not done by the places you do your other blood tests through. There is one of those 'mail in your samples and we'll tell you' companies in the US, they claim extraordinary accuracy. But the key word t here is claim. They've lost a serious legal suit against them, I hear.

Do you have any friends who work in a bio research lab by chance? If so, it's a peice of cake to do the blood test, and it is actually quite accurate if done right. If I hadn't found out in the ultrasound scan (around here they won't always tell you), I would've done my own blood test!

Put a gold ring on a long peice of thread and hold it over your belly. If it swing back and forth like a pendalem it's a boy, and if it's circles its a girl. Even though it's a myth, my grandma did it with all 4 of us and she was right, and my mom did it with my best friend and she was right. Mama did it to me, and according to her I'm having a girl, but I'm not far enough along for the doctor to confirm it.....remember it's a myth though and you do have a 50/50 chance. This URL has a lot of myths and facts.

Ive heard if the heart rate of the baby is higher it is a girl if its lower its a boy.It worked for me my 2 girls were 150-160. With this preg the heart rate is 130-140 and at the ultrasound they said it is a boy. but I guess the only real way to be sure is wait .

well with all my boys i was drained, i had 3 of them also put on loads of weight, with my last one my girl i had the most amount of energy and carried completely different, however i 'knew' i was carrying a girl and had the sex scan to make sure and it was and i was right!!!! basically have the scan or wait either is just as exciting i think if you have more than one already if its your first then its nice to wait and be surprised!!!

From recently pregnant friends who have given birth the impression they've had is if you gain a lot of weight all over your body, it's likely to be a girl and if only your tummy gets big it will be a boy.

Wait 9 months and give birth!
There is no way the old wive's method can predict gender, since there is a50% chance of them being right anyway.

well there are 2 superstitions.
One is if your stomach is huge it's supposed to mean that ur having a boy.. which isn't true cuz thats what grama said and i ended up being a grl.
another superstion is that if you look horrible your having a grl..and shes taking your beauty.
If your really energetic your having a boy.. that was the case for my mother..
but they are just superstitions.
