I have a lot of female friends from college and high school that I like to hang out with. Most are still single or divorced. Most are friends with my wife. Is it inappropriate in you opinion to go out with them, when she is working nights? I know she trusts me, but is it disrespectful? If so, that sucks.

I don't think so at all. I have tons of guy friends, including my best friend being a guy... we go out together all the time -- that's how we have always been and neither of the people in our relationships mind. If you can be trusted... you can be trusted. Simple as that.

No, I don't think it is disrespectful or wrong. As long as your wife is okay with it, where is the harm? My husband has female friends, and I have male friends, and we often spend time with them, quite often without each other. My husband works nights a lot, and let me tell you, of it were not for my male friends, I would often feel very lonely. Most of my women friends are married, and have responsibilities at night. I think having friends of the opposite sex is great, it also helps us to understand how the other sex's mind works, and saves a lot of misunderstandings.

Here is a reality check.......MOST and I said MOST not ALL, Most of the time this is a VERY bad idea and Yes, this is how zhit starts....It almost always starts out as "Were JUST friends"

If it is making your wife upset, then sorry Charlie, you have to choose, your wife or these "friends"...that is the reality of the ways of the world....I do not know how young you guys are, you sound like you are still young....but you will see, opposite sex friends are almost only nothing but grief to a marriage....

Yes, it is. find some guy friends and go out with them. Or go out all in a big group; Guys AND girls. You shouldn't be hanging out with a female alone. Especially at night and while your wife is working.

yes it is wrong, lets face it marriage changes things it supposed to about each other and growing together! it only ok if the 2 of you agree! keep an open communication about it. i would not want my man hanging out with old female freinds. women are so back-stabbing they are very attracted to taken men just so they can piss antoher women off, of just to prove that someones man isn't all into their women. be careful!

If you tell her about these "dates" and she's perfectly okay with it, and it's TOTALLY platonic, meaning no flirtacious stuff or anything you wouldn't do with your wife sitting RIGHT THERE, then no, there's nothing wrong with it. But only if she's aware, and okay with it....AND if you'd be okay with her doing the same. I cannot STAND double standards or someone expecting me to follow a different set of rules than he does.

If it's not excessive, everything is on the up & up and you include your wife when you can, it should not be a big deal. However, remember that your wife's wishes and feelings should come first so if she is not comfy with it let it be.

If you don't have any man friends to do man things with, then I suppose hanging out with a bunch of girls is ok with me if it's ok with your wife.

the only person to ask that question would be your wife if she is okay with it then do it. some wifes arent like that and they dont like that but i think its a personal preference between you and your wife.........ask her. good luck i hope this helps.
