How much does it cost to order a channel?

My family and I are moving into an apartment where you get basic cable, and I plan to order a certain channel that you don't get there. I know you can get this information by calling up the people, but does anyone know how much it cost to do this? And if you have to pay by month and all that jazz.

All cable company charges are different. You have to call.
