Ive heard quickbooks will work but im very limited in the amount I can spend. Quickbooks, I am told, is expensive. Im looking for something cheap, free if possible.

quickbooks is great, peachtree works as well...there really isn'tagood reliable program that is free.

My suggestion is for you to just go comparison shopping on the net - you may be able to find software on e-bay fora lot cheaper...

Bear in mind, you have to spend some money to make money...a good program to manage your accounts will pay for itself later.

If you are going to have a cpa do your taxes then I would purchase a quickbooks program off of ebay that is maybe a couple of years old. the main differences is tax information but the standard book keeping is the same. Someone wondered about quickbooks and vista I am using it at my company so I know it is ok.

Quickbooks is definitely worth the money.

Although, I'll say upfront, many times freeware doesn't have support like a product such as Quickbooks will.

I know microsoft has a program called small business manager or something, i dont know how much exactly, but i know it isnt near quickbooks in price

I've been using Quickbooks, successfully (notr sure if they have a vista edition yet?)

You can also do this in Excel. If you don't have Excel (from Microsoft), you can download a free MS Office clone at ..
