Humans "made" god; according to Nietzsche, we also killed god.
but, for those who believe in God, the idea is that god is and always has been. God exists outside of time - god is the past, present, and future; god is pure act rather than potential. As Thomas Aquinas said, God is esse. God is pure essence, God IS.

Well where did carbon, hydrogen and oxygen come from? Some sort of matter had to exist before the universe to create the universe, where did that come from? Maybe there is a mother universe creating billoins and billions of baby universe (like ours), but the question still remains - what created the mother universe? what created the thing that created the mother universe? You can take this question back infinitely, what created the thing that created the thing that created the mother universe? So at some point you have to stop and say that there is something that has had no beginning. Whether your talking about God or just a governing mother universe, something out there exists outside the boundaries of time and therefore has always existed. For years athiests believed it was our universe that has always existed, but now science and mathematics is showing that our universe had to have a beginning. Then you must ask, is this something an intelligent, self aware, conscious being? Or is just a non-intelligent, not self-aware, universe creating mechanism? Or whatever you want to call it. To me the idea that an intelligent being created intelligent humans (as well as all life on earth) seems more probable than intelligence created from non-intelligence.

-intelligence begets intelligence
-non intelligence begets non-intelligence
This is what we have seen throughout all of scientific history

I don't think that you can classify God as a being that was created or will ever be destroyed. God is perpetual and has been since the very beginning of human-perceived time. To say that there was a beginning for God is actually false, people can't firmly grasp the concept of God being so much higher than us that he doesn't exist on our plane of time. The method that I've come to believe is that God is forever in the present, and that since he is eternal there is no past or future for him. Hope this helps.

what made god?

fear.

men in caves wouldn't understand the wrath of nature, like thunder, lightning, floods, earthquakes etc.. It appeared like a "higher power" is angry and causing the devastation. Thats how men began praying to nature in order to appease the natural forces to calm them.

where did atoms come from? I guess your question is how does matter exist! well... nobody really has a convincing answer yet.

how could anything form out of nothing... or how could anything have existed forever? neither is possible the way our minds perceive reality...

thus indicating that perhaps there is no co-relation between our minds and reality.

Here is an example.
If I have a chair on my left side, I told you to close your eyes. Then I move the chair to my right side. Will you belive that the chair moved by itself. Its imposible right?....Thats how God is. No one made God...... You need to study dont just study the stupendies science. Science is good, but its all for this world, What you see in this world everything, everything is just images you have. You see, touch, feel, all the things you see and touch they can be broken or die. Your body will die. So everything is just material. No one can ever create a human with a soul in it. So we are here for a reason. God created you, and he gave you the potential to think by yourself. He gave you the potential to chose, chosing all you want, to believe him or not. Its up to you, he gave you the power to beliave or not.

If there is no God, then nothing made God

If there is a God, then nothing made God.

Either God exists or not.

In either case we conclude: nothing made God.

God was made by a group of cavemen trying to explain why things happened; i.e. lightning, thunder, what made it rain, etc
