which author would you choose and why?
Me? Stephen King. He captures the nuances of average people so well, and my life has it's own elements of surreal horror sometimes...lol

I was going to also say Stephen King because of the scary clown hiding in the floor boards under my bed or maybe Anne Rice because I've lived for about 276 years now and have an unquenchable thirst for blood, and think maybe she has some insight on this.

Keith Ablow. He's also a psychiatrist on top of being an author, and he really knows how to work details and capture the moment.
He's not really into romance that much, more like a thriller and suspense thing.

Anthony Bourdain. He would so understand about having to work in the restaurant business. And he'd put a funny spin on all the horror stories I have!

I'd choose Chuck Palahniuk .... that's the guy who wrote 'Fight Club' and 'Invisible Monsters'. He's raw and honest - he doesn't tiptoe around real-life issues. Maybe it's because it's so difficult to face reality sometimes and be honest with myself that I'd like him to be my author. But someday I'm actually going to write my own story...

What a great question! :)

I would love for my biography to be a compilation of writers.

Stephen King: he creates such wonderful kingdoms of details for each and every story

Carolyn Parkhurst: pulls at my heartstrings (Dogs of Babel)

Frederick Busch: knows the power of succinctness to create haunting images with words (Girls, North)

Viggo Mortensen: I would love for him to provide the photography, artwork, and poetry....his work feels familiar to my heart

Hope this helps, and have a great day! :)

I would have to go with Anne Rice. I love the way she just makes you fall in love with her characters. Her wording is just phenomenal. She really has a way of keeping you guessing, and delighting her readers. Anne Rice has a way of making you want to know her characters...and glamorizing even the darkest moments ( you almost wish you were a vampire after reading her books)

Alestier Crowley, he'd make me out to be an unholy prophet, and the book would come with a lot of spells.
