I have an African Dwarf Frog in a cycled 2.5 gallon tank. Should I take it with me or will it be fine for three days? Also I am cycling a 10 gallon tank what should I do with that one, I can't take it with me?

Feed them before you go. You can get a mechanical feeder at the store or plastic disks with food in them called weekend feeders.

Fish and frogs are fine without being fed every day so I wouldn't worry about it. As long as you haven't overloaded your fish tank with too many fish ( no more than 1-2) Your tank should be ok also.

I have 5 frogs and feed them a variety: Omega One freshwater flakes, betta food pellets & Reptomin. I fed them freeze-dried bloodworms for awhile but it gave 2 of my frogs 'bloatsy' which thankfully was cured with Maracyn Two. The littlest frogs in the tank weren't eating for awhile so I tried putting each one in a short clear glass & with the inside of a thawed pea~placed a ring around the top of the water in the glass. The pea parts stuck & each frog just starred at it with interest~then jumped up, caught it & ate it!! ;)~ I think they see it as fun & yummy! I do the same thing with the other food in the glass for them. I think it's a size or superiority--inferiority issue; the biggest gets most of the food first and sometimes gets it all! Guess we got to step in for the little guys & make sure they get fed too. ;)

feed the frog just before you leave, and feed the frog as soon as you come back.
3 days is not too long. frogs actually can servive fine without being fed every single day,
just make sure your house has a air conditioner so he wont overheat .

Your local pet store should have weekend feeders. This is something you can drop in your tank to feed while you are gone.

Get a family member to take care of it or hire a pet sitter.
Bring it to the pet store and they will take care of it while there gone.

Hire a pet sitter. They are usaully the best because you can leave your pet at home. Or you can bring it to the sitters house(some don't go to your house)

Good luck,
Lily
