A lot of us, at least 70 percent or more, think the current government is corrupt.

Why? There are a large number of Bush cronies who have left office. The fiasco in the Justice Dept. and the contrived lies by all concerned, especially Gonzalez. The reason for the war in Iraq; can anyone spell WMD? The top personnel who left the Veteran's Administration. Halliburton who over charged the army in Iraq for support services. VP Cheney is a major stockholder; doesn't this seem like a conflict of interest. A poorly drafted immigration bill which is full of loop holes. Continuing debt in the trillions of dollars because of the Iraqi war. The outsourcing of jobs to overseas by American companies. The frequent government bailout of airlines. The failure of the NCLB Act to fund failing schools. The increased rate for college loans. Escalating costs to attend college. Rapidly rising utility and gasoline costs. Lack of a comprehensive, cost effective health plan. Obscene compensation rewards for CEO's and top management of corporations. The spineless Congress who bends to every whim of Pres. Bush.

I could go on for pages, but I'd be on all day. The corruptness of the gov't filters into every day life.

We need to go back to a full democratic form of government where the will of the citizens is paramount.

Polls
It's worth noting that Bush is now at 34 percent approval and Cheney's sunk down to 18.

So I guess that settles it, then. Americans hates America. We have met the enemy, and it is us.

Thats what one poll says I believe most americans aprox 90% believe the government is corrupt ,the other 10 % live in their illusion that its true & honest

70% consider Bush to be incompetent and corrupt. 81% consider Congress to be the same.

Add them together and you find that 151% of Americans have lost faith in politics and government.

Damn! Sounds like it's time for another one of those revolutions Jefferson recommended on a generational basis.
