Penguins would crap all over, need a big, deep, cold water pool, rocks to sun on and eat fish, squid and other undersea creatures. Got a place to store a few hundred pounds of fish? They don't sing, they don't dance and they don't talk like Robin Williams. If you like penguins so much, go to your local zoo and volunteer. Maybe they'll let you help take care of their penguins and you'll be doing something good for the animals there.

Monkeys are stubborn, dirty little beasts that will try to destroy your home, bite you HARD and throw their feces at you. They also smell horrible. Wow, that sounds like fun. But again, if you really want one, go volunteer at your local zoo and see what monkeys are really like before bringing one into your home.

A penguin? If it were even possible to obtain a penguin, that animal would NOT be happy and may possibly die. All animals cannot be made into pets- and that is a good example. A penguin needs thinks that you cannot provide. Only a profession can keep this kind of animal.

A monkey still isn't a favorable pet, but possible to come by. If you get a monkey, you HAVE to make sure it has everything it needs- and that's alot. You may also need a sort of license to keep one depending on you area.

My dad used to have a monkey. I also know someone who has rescued tigers, lions, and leopards.
But come on; my dad lived in Africa and the person who rescues those big cats is an [extreme] professional.

Penguins do not make good pets and would probably make for a very miserable penguin.

Penguins live in the sea so recreating a suitable habitat for it would be pretty hard!

When you get a pet, think about how you will care for it, will your pet be happy and where did it come from .

Don't buy pets on the black market, it should be stopped, not encouraged.

Penguins are fascinating creatures and I understand why a person would fantasize about being close to one. I think your dream could best be played out by adopting one at your local zoo. With all of their resources they could take the best care of it ~ but you could have the pleasure and satisfaction of knowing that you have a special 'pet' that you are helping every day. I hope your dream comes true!

Let me guess, your cute little pEnguin will live in your freezer right next to your bag of tator tots and spash around with you in the tub...maybe it will talk, and dance too! I don't know of any market for LIVE pEnguins, or pYgmy monkeys but If you are interested in a silver back gorilla, hit me up.

I think it is actually illegal to own a penguin as a pet, but a monkey is fairly simple to obtain. You just have to get a special license from your state.

they are wild animals. YOU DO NOT WANT EITHER! go to a zoo and look at them. there is NO WAY you would be able to provide either with the proper environment, and they would never be pets.
