While you may be physically capable you are not emotionally ready to handle the responsibility that goes along with having sex. You should wait. I lost my virginity when I was 14 almost 15 and I regret it. Even though I am now married to the man I first slept with, it wasn't until years later that we got back together as adults and finally married. I was in love with him then and I still am, but he moved and we both went our separate way for years. There was a lot of heart ache and I made a lot of bad choices, once you have sex with one person if that relationship does not work out, then the pressure to have sex with your next relationship is that much greater. I'm not saying that you will have the same circumstances, but at your age the chances of it ending badly are almost 100%. By the way I ended up pregnant by 17 had 2 friends that had abortions by 16 and 2 more friends that had babies by 16 they would all tell you to wait too. Also if your thinking you won't get pregnant because your on the pill or use a condom, well I'm pregnant right now and I have been on the pill for over a year and one of my friends has a baby as a result of condoms. Unless your old enough to deal with all the consequences your not old enough to have sex.

The question isn't if you can, its if you should. Think about these questions while you are deciding if you are ready.

Are YOU (not your boyfriend, best friend, or anyone else) able to walk up to ANY clerk at the store (man or woman, old or young) or to a family planning clinic, and ask to get condoms and a second "back-up" birth control method, and which are the best for you?

Are you in a position to raise a child? Do you have a regular doctor for STD testing? Having safe sex is importent but it is not 100% affective agains pregnancy, or desease! (Just because he/she looks clean, doesn't mean he/she is!!)

Is this someone you actually want to have sex with, or are you just doing it to do it? It probably won't be enjoyable the first time (or even the first few times). Its never fun, unless you have a special conection with the person you are with.

Best of luck with your decision.

You *can* have sex at any age, but the consequences of that differ depending on your age. If you're too young and you aren't physically mature enough, it can cause a lot of damage to your reproductive system and if a bad enough experience, could cause you to not be able to have children later (happens quite frequently to children who are forcefully raped).

If you have already started menstruating, you can get pregnant...causing something else to worry about. You can get STDs or HIV or any number of infections.

Don't even think about it until you're older and in a committed relationship. Save your school years for having fun with your friends!

Yes you can BUT no you shouldn't.
Every time you have sex you have to think of the possibilities of getting a STD or getting pregnant and do you really want to take that chance.
I think that you need to go and discuss this with one of your parents or another adult that you trust.
Don't make a decision that you will have to live with for the rest of your life without weighing the consequences.

You CAN. But DON'T.

Here are some ideas of what to do instead:

Get really good grades
Join an extracurricular-sports are good for the mind, body and self-esteem
Create and sustain same sex friendships
Think about how you can get into and pay for a really good college
Go for a bike ride
Help your mom without her having to ask her
Babysit

Good luck-NO SEX

It is best to build a wall around yourself sexually until you are married. There will be plenty of people who want to steal the gift of your body and put you in danger of deadly disease, spiritual havoc and unplanned pregnancy. Call me old fashioned, but never, never, be alone with someone of the opposite sex besides your parents, or relatives.

Yes you can. No ones going to stand there and watch you to make sure you don't but be responsible about it if you are. Don't get pregnant, always use protection. Make sure its with someone around your age. Plus they need to be a special person. If you are responsible and ready then it's your choice.
chose carefully because this can/will effect your life. Good luck

You can because I was 14 when I started, but to this day I regret it. Don't rush into something like that because so many things can go wrong. Be safe...hold out!!
