My computer runs this Drive C Surface Scan several times daily and I wonder why?? Most of the time it runs it when I turn the computer on but it will run anytime and it is quite annoying. Any ideas?? Or suggestions?? Thank You

I'm not sure. try right clicking the c drive in my computer, click properties, click tools, click check now and remove the checks?

Sounds like you're not exiting your operating system properly. If you skip the exit routines, the OS will assume that you had a power failure or something. Usually you can tell the OS to skip the scan, but it is trying to make sure you don't have any loose (unlinked) data files.

this is its routine. let it run, but if you're really annoyed you might have to uninstall and reinstall the internet. the C: drive might be having trouble coping with all the internet in your computer.
