The Sequoia National Forest ranges from just east of Fresno to east of Bakersfield. The Sequoia National Park is just west of Death Valley. It is about 438 miles, 8 hrs., 15 min. from Redding.
Or did you mean the Redwood National Park? It is on the Pacific side, from Redding you would take 199 to 101 (146 miles) go north on 101 about 49 miles.

You go 100 miles west on route 36 over the mountains. Then it is about 10-50 miles south on 101.
