That is not acceptable for me period. There are people whom are homeless vets who deserve that privilege more then a sex molester.

As a person who has lived in India, the middle east and the USA, to me, this "sex offender" bullschit is quite similar to "faith offender" bullschit of the fanatics of the Muslim world.
An offence whether sex is involved or not, it nothing but an offence and should be treated only as it is. It is the doing of the dry pufsy feminists and some other such groups that have made all of you brainwashed when it comes to sex offence and stuff.
As a parent and a husband, I should be more worried about a borderline maniac person or a thief rather than a sex offender living near me.
If I call a Muslim, a pig, that person will get mad enough to physically attack me. If I call a Hindu the same, I may only get a smirk. Why do Muslims get so offended if you call them pigs? They are having a cultivated culture which regards pigs as very low-level animals where as Hindus have a cultivated culture make them revere all forms of life. We even have Pig gods and stuff. The point is "Sex Offence" is made such a horrible thing compared to all other offence only by the cultivated culture (hype).
I am not condoning sex offence. I regard it as any other offence and am not pre-occupied with such offence or any other offence people of this world commit. I have other things to do.

Good idea but where would you build such a facility? And would it be considered ethical to have all living under one roof? I think it is a wee bit discriminatory and no I am not an advocate for sex offenders and feel they should be hung, but as you may know, sex offenders have rules they have to adhere to regarding where they live and work, (i.e. cannot be within so many yards or miles of a school or establishment that houses children....).
In the rural area where II live, there is an elementary school 1 mile to the south of my house, one that is 1 1/2 miles to the east of me, and a high school 5 miles north of me. In between these schools are day care centers and pre-schools. I also live within one mile of the corrections facility.

Let 'em die. Don't let them out of jail. I was abused as a child multiple times a day by a 'trusted' family member, and I fought him for 10 months in jail. He served less than a year and is now out again and living his life as if he did nothing wrong, other than some slap stick probation. I have to occasionally run into him on the street, and for HIM to be able to walk around freely the same way I do really disgusts me. I don't want pity from whoever's reading this, I've moved on and live a happy normal life and don't blame my problems on the past, I'm just making a point. The urge to re-offend never goes away, so what's to say how long they will last before re-offending (let alone getting caught)? It's a ticking time bomb in my mind, with OUR innocent children suffering because of it. As I said before, let 'em die.

it appears that all known human techniques for rehabilitating sex offenders are likely to fail in the majority of cases.
So, unless you're willing to give all such convicts a lifetime sentence, they'll be somewhere in society.
Imho, those local laws in some Florida communities [like Miami] which, in essence, prohibit released offenders from living anywhere are unConstitutional as they amount to perpetual imprisonment.
***
Near as I can figure it, God created these people and only God is in charge of changing them. You and I aren't.
I think it follows that the risk they present to society, and further innocents, is simply something we have to accept.
If and when an offender proves by action that he [most likely, but not always] is or will be a continuing danger to innocents [the usual third offense rule], then we can reasonably protect our children and society by either life imprisonment or the death penalty.

In one way I think they should be in a prison condition for the rest of their lives. They never do recover from something like this, and usually 9 out of 10 times they will do it again. They shouldn't be aloud back into the communities where their are innocent victims waiting for them to move on them!

Yeah, like a short or long term rehab facility but for sex offenders. Good idea. They should have to stay there for a certain amount of time according to what they did or until they are felt to be recovered. I wish it were that easy. Or they should have to have a sign posted in their yard or have their pictures distributed through the mail.

Good Idea.
The only thing that I would include in this "sex offender maintenance program" is castration.
By the way they should just stay in prison: just keep them there, till they DIE!!!!
