What is wrong? I'm an new gardener so I'm not really up on my plant diseases. Any help on what is going on plus how I can get rid of it is much appreciated.

Yep those are aphids I think lace wings eat them you can buy lace wings, and they are pretty.

If they are little tiny green bugs that look kind of transparent, they are aphids. They are making holes to eat the sweet sap from the plant. I would recommend sevin dust or if you want to stay orgainic, sprinkle some salt water on them. They have a high water content and the salt will dehydrate and kill them.

Don't use too much salt or you will kill the plant too. Doesn't take much since they are so small.

Ladybugs will eat the aphids. They used to sell them at Star Nursury.

That sounds like aphids. Try Sevin spray on them.
