"I am my bother's keeper."

I'd love to think of America as one big family. Each one of us responsible for our value and the value of our family.

Where do you think our American 'family' is going? Do we welcome new members of our family? Why do we act like memebers of the other politcal party are our enemy? Is our country just another "Disfunctional American Family?"

America is not quite as dysfunctional as it appears on Yahoo Answers or on all of the ax-grinder's blogs and soap boxes.

The real world is a kinder, gentler place where people actually listen to each other and help one another, at least to a few degrees more than they do here.

I think James Dobson the tax evader and others like is why we can't even decide what family values are. This man is a sleaze that thinks he is God. He is very powerful and has a lot of crap coming out of him defining and tying down family values. These kind of zealots block people from thinking as human beings. The brain washing has been very apparent in the last elections. As longs as the swindlers get to parade around as moral leaders and take the hard earned money from real families The U S A will have a hard time coming together as a family.
