Once in a while when I shop for new sneakers, I wear my sandals when I shop, and browse around to find new sneakers, and when I find a pair that interests me, and the clerk at the store goes into the stock room to obtain them, and s/he hands them to me they allow me to try them on without socks. I even do this when I am not wearing any socks in my sneakers. I will try them on without socks. THe clerk doesn't even ask me if I wouild like a sock. I did this the other day, and tried on a pair of sneakers without socks, and I even bought them. However, sometimes I do not buy them. I even see other customers try on sneakers without socks. Has anybody did this before?

Yep definitely, especially with sandals I want to feel what the shoes will really feel like not over pantyhose/sock thingy. :)

Yeah, I do it all the time. They really don't even care about hygiene anymore, and that kind of bothers me. I liked it when I was younger, and they made us use a sock, because then I knew that no one's bare foot and all their diseases had been inside the shoe that *I* was buying. I usually bring an extra pair of socks with me when I go shopping now, because I'm kind of a germaphobe and don't want to catch something...

When I was about 12 i Did only b/c I did not know that they obtained stockings. Next time ask! It would be the common courtesy of others.But hopefully others didn't have anything foot fungus related before you put them on.

i do that. Sometimes the store will even give you a sock to try on with the shoe:]

No I always carry socks and nylons with me when shopping for any type of shoes.

I have done it before but I usually use the peds in the store (pretty much all stores have them)

I have. It's gross but whatever I hate those ugly stocking things they give you.
