Most say not to have sex and of course that's the safest way not to get pregnant or get an STD.

However in the world we live in today it's sad to say you children are starting younger and younger every day. So I do applaud you for at least trying to be responsible enough to know you don't want to bring a child into this insane world. With that said:

The pill there are various kinds, they have been around for a very, very long time. The shot, Depo and all the other new ones have not been around very long and have lots of side effects that are not good. If I were you I'd go on-line and read up on all the various birth control methods. www.KnowMyCycle.com
Then go to your doctor and ask them for their advice.

MOST IMPORTANTLY PLEASE USE CONDOMS EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU HAVE SEX NO BIRTH CONTROL WILL PREVENT YOU FROM CONTRACTING AN STD. PLEASE BE SMART AND RESPECT YOUR BODY EVEN IF HE WONT!!

You shouldn't be having sex at 15 but if you are going to do it anyway then you should be safe. Talk to your parent(s) first because many states will not let a minor have birth control without parental consent and then go see a doctor who will recommend what is right for you.
But please remember that the pill does not protect you from STDs and you can still get pregnant even though you are taking it. It is only 99% effective and that is if you are taking it correctly. (I was on the pill taking it like I was supposed to and got pregnant with my daughter granted I was 21 and in a monogamous relationship but the threat of pregnancy is still there.)

some people can be so judgemental there is medical reasons for the pill you know!!! like Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome and heavy periods. I was on the pill at 12 for both! Anyways that set aside age doesnt matter its to suit the person. Me personally have to have low oestrgen pills like the one i take currently is loestrin20. Your doctor would take your blood pressure and stuff like that and put you on a "begginer" pill such as Microgynon30. I say beginner as theyre the cheapest pills and the most commonly issued. If you experience headaches from them and there is a change in blood pressure they will change you to a different pill. Different pills have different effects on people as everyones bodies is different, only you and your doctor can find the right one for you.

There's a pill out for 15 year olds. It's safe, it's 100 % effective (if you use it) and there are no side effects.
You can take it whenever you want as well! And you don't even have to swallow it. What you do is take the pill, place it between your knees and don't let it fall.

I went on the tablet at the same time as i become about 13 because I had the more severe cramps and my classes were so abnormal that it become in basic terms terrible for me. It become extremely my mom's theory to get me on the tablet, and surely i imagine it turned right into a sturdy call on her section. in my opinion, I wan;t fairly interested in having sex till I were in a reliable courting for awhile so it wasn't an problem. i imagine that in case your daughter is heavily having a confusing time with cramps and her era regularly, you need to talk mutually with her well being care professional (perchance take her to a gyno) and be conscious what her thoughts are. I bear in mind after I first went in to work out a Dr about happening the tablet, she instructed me that about seventy 5% of her sufferers that are on the tablet use it for era issues, mutually along with your daughters, or for pimples topics, and by no potential unavoidably for birth control. i might want to also propose that if she does flow on the tablet, that you adult men have a sparkling and open communicate about the way it gained't look after her type STD's and such and could no longer provide her a pretend experience of safe practices if she makes a call to grow to be sexually lively. i'm so happy that you're open-minded about this concern. such fairly some mom and father are not, and are not waiting to have an open line of communique with their youngsters about the type of outrage. best of success, desire I helped some.

A friggin' chastity belt.

IMHO, *NO* 15 year old girl should come anywhere NEAR any brand of birth control pill *unless* it's used to regulate an irregular menstrual cycle.

everyone is going to say "you shouldnt be having sex at 15".. well i think you should be doing so wisely if YOU choose to have intercourse...
such as.. ask your dr for the best birth control out there...
i know theres a needle.. theres a patch... theres pills..
I think for you to begin i would have to say pills.. "if u can remember them everyday"... i heard the needle makes you gain weight!...I never used birth control so i dont know..
i have seen commercials tho.. theres one called allesse..(i think thats how its spelled)...
there are ALOT...
either way you have to ask your dr because i dont think you can get any birth control without a prescription...

just remember tho that birth control doesnt protect against std's so use condoms aswell...

good luck!...

Call Planned Parenthood. They would be able to answer your questions. Asking for this kind of help on an online Q/A board full of strangers can be a medical disaster.

Your not gonna wanna hear this but sex is for married couples so the best birth control is abstinence. Wait until your wedding night and God will bless your marriage.
