I want to know a title of the horror movie. At midnight, some families includes few children in camp trailers chased by many pale brainwashed like citizens, families all ended up in a fountain stabbed. It's similar to RACE WITH THE DEVIL. I saw this on TV when I was a kid, 1974 or 1975 or 1976? At Chicago. Does anybody know this movie? thanks

...now let's see...pale-faced crazed people!!...plagued children!!...a stabbing in a water fountain!!!...

...sound not unlike the 1971 sci-fi/horror film, entitled "The Omega Man", starring Charleton Heston, Anthony Zerbe and Rosalind Cash.

In the film, the world's population slowly fall victim to a plague that turns them into pale-faced psychopaths, led by a crazed fanatical leader (Anthony Zerbe); Charleton Heston is the sole immune survivor of the plague, killing off the crazies, one by one, and attempting to use his blood supply to cure other survivors, incuding children, who are partially afflicted with the plague. Naturally, the pasty-faced crazies want him destroyed; ultmately, they DO execute him, with a well-aimed spear, next to a large decorative water fountain.

This is the second version of Richard Matheson's classic sci-fi/horror story, entitled "I Am Legend"; the first version was filmed in Italy, in 1964, under the title "The Last Man on Earth", and starred horror actor icon Vincent Price. Following much closer to the original story, the plague causes people to turn into zombie-like vampires, rather than maniacs (an obvious influence for George A. Romero, who would later be inspired to create the film, "Night of the Living Dead", in 1968).

This Christmas, Warner Bros. is releasing the third version of the film, taking it's title (and direct premise) from the orignal novel; this time, actor Will Smith will battle the blood-hungry vampires!!!
