Not at all, text speak should only be used on the phone. Hopefully the kiddies will soon realize how stupid they look using it in other arenas such as here. One more reason they should stay in school year around.

Well, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary and usage are all taking a colossal beating, that's for sure. No one has a high model, on the net, as to what can be achieved linguistically.

well, vocabulary is all about communicating so I guess as long as that still happens efficiently then there's really nothing to worry about besides trying to make yourself look good beacuse you can belittle people with dyslexia.

believe my kids will speak proper english i will make sure of that i hate it when kids do this, have you seen that cell phone commercial where the girl just talks in code.....not good

My teenager actually SAYS, "LOL". I think it'll be in the dictionary before we know it. Spk in txt dict.
