help get that person help. if the person is very aware of the insanity, then that person is ready for help. if you love this person, do what you can. but know when to step out. sometimes (very sadly) there is only so much you can do to help someone, and when it's not helping, you become so wrapped in it that you yourself has become destroyed. best of luck to you.

If this person is truly bent on destroying themselves, find them a good psychologist/psychiatrist and get them to go.
