Actually, Time does not exist on it's own. Time a a measure or one thing against the other. I will give you an example. If the entire universe were to come to stand still, including the atoms, the electrons, the light rays, everything ....... for a 1000 years. And then all of a sudden every thing would start moving again. Nothing and no one would even know that we lost a 1000 years. We could be driving to work and everything stopped for 1000 years and started again. We will not even know we missed something. But if one thing would keep moving and the rest come to rest, then we would know that we lost time. This is my own theory and not borrowed from anyone.

Time has always existed, it will always exist. It does not start and stop, it does not vary, it is a constant. Whatever your own theory about the creation of the Universe and all the wonders it contains, time existed before any of that.
"Time is linear and part of the fundamental structure of the universe, a dimension in which events occur in sequence, and time itself is something that can be measured. This is the realist's view, to which Sir Isaac Newton subscribed."

it depends on what you believe. for example if you're Catholic, you believe time started when God made the earth.
