do i let my job ( so demanding ) partner leave me to a better job, while am not allowed?

i discovered he was planing this secretly. we were establishing a new business in our firm ( minimum wages ), and this business is so consuming. he is communicating with other firms for a better job than this. our relationship was not good lately. if he go then i would be responsible for the whole project. but now he is managing half of this project without consulting me ( due to our declining relationship). my feeling towards this is mixed up. i would very much appreachiate a good saying.

management is aware of this, they promised him resignation if he accoplish part of the project.
beside the minimum wage the managent has refused my resignation when i tried to 4 times, and they gave me a rosey.

If you are creating or developing a new business (market) in your firm for minimum wage; You should be getting out. If this person is in the same dilemma as you, don't burden them or yourself with bad feelings.

You haven't mentioned where management is in this situation. Are they aware of it. Who does the reporting?

I hope this business doesn't involve bringing your friends and relatives in as customers.

Have a man-to-man talk with him. Remind him of half of his responsibility on the project both of you are undertaking. Settle whatever differences you have with each other, you cannot afford to let go and leave everything as they are because you will be at the losing end.
