.....No. This is a misunderstood concept and this is bad information. Not true. Very, very few psychotic people have a high IQ. In fact, just the opposite is true.
But what IS true is that many brilliant thinkers don't go along with the assumptions and thinking of the general public. They often have advanced, original thoughts about things, so they don't automatically accept or agree with what most people think. This makes them, "outsiders," thinking outside the box. They may even have trouble relating to or communicating with "ordinary" people. This can make them SEEM different, which the average person might interpret as weird, off-balance or even crazy. But most of these people have no disorder at all...and they're certainly not psychotic.

there is no scientific truth in that statement. you can find psychotics among imbeciles , morons and even in people with IQ more than 150.after Jennifer answered any question, i feel ,nothing can be added to her answer as it would be redundant.
