One who guides one in the journey of life must be spiritual person... one who has transcended life and gained self realization. In the last about 150 years only two persons gained enlightenment... they were Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana! All literature and everything related to Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana is a guiding pillar in the journey of life.

Why do you think you need a guide? Do you hire a guide at Disneyland? Isn't a map enough? In life, your map is your education. All the rest is exploration and adventure.

You want a guide? Remember Jonestown and Waco. Remember China's Cultural Revolution and Germany's Third Reich. Don't forget the Spanish Inquisition. Guides are notoriously dangerous things to have.

My Tai Chi teacher knows a lot more about Tai Chi than I do, so I stick with him for now, but the time will come when I say thanks and go my own way. May you find the courage to find YOUR own way.

The wisest person I know and really the only one who could and would willingly and unconditionally guide you through the rest of your life is God. No one person can guide you through your entire life. You will learn from different people and events in your life along the way. People come into your life and things both bad and good happen to us and we learn a life lesson from all of them. The more life lessons you learn and the more you experience, the wiser you will become and learn how to make good decisions for yourself. Life is a journey and an adventure in learning. Have some faith in yourself and in God and you will find your way. Good luck.

Really, what wise person has time for that? And would it really be their responsibility? I mean, sure, you could probably find yourself a guru who would be willing to let you hang around in exchange for your eternal devotion and light housework, but it'd be a crapshoot as to whether he or she is really wise, or just enjoys the free maid service.

Guiding you through the rest of your life is your responsibility. Sure, you can take a certain amount of direction from any wise people you meet along the way, but don't expect any of them to take you on as a project for the rest of your life. Stand on your own two feet.

Anyone who sets themselves up as wise enough to guide someone else-beware. Are they happy? Are they doing what THEY love? What do they want from YOU?
I am sorry to report than life is a do-it-yourself project.

You can read, and study, and find a mentor to do something you want to know or figure out what you want to do in certain circumstances. Don't swallow ANYTHING whole.
If I had to give any general wisdom, based on 57 years of self-inflicted pain, and some poor choices--and finally figuring out how to hang on to happiness and a peaceful life, it would be these ideas:
Forgive your parents.
Love yourself (body and soul), take good care of yourself, and respect your boundaries and choices. YOU get to choose your life.
Get as much formal education as you can stand and never stop learning.
Avoid all addictions, mindless living, and embrace the life you choose. Enjoy yourself.
Make all your decisions based on love and long-term benefits. Avoid decisions based on impulse: lust, fear or anger.
Find something you love and do it often. If you can, figure out how to make a living doing it. If not, still figure out how to have it in your life. This means playing the violin, collecting stamps, baking, solving mysteries, raising chimpanzees, making costumes for theatre or swimming with dolphins. All avenues are open to you , if you are educated and dedicated.
Embrace your gifts and your passion, and follow where it leads you. Don't let fear, indecision, laziness, or lack of confidence rob you of your life.
Love someone else.
That ought to keep you busy for the next 70 years.
Good luck.

Hello:

You are looking for your answers to come from outside your personal being.

The answers to your specific life were placed 'inside' of you when you were became a human being.

We must acknowledge that an 'Influence' is responsible for humans and all of creation.

This 'influence' most certainly included the information necessary for continuance in every living creature. There lies the 'guidence' that you seek.

In order to more fully access that bank of information it is necessary to do two things.

First, accept that it resides within you.

Second, begin to seek the advise of others who have successully found ways of accessing this bank for themselves.

There are books and organizitions that target such understanding.

There you will find the clues as to the methods that will work specifically for you.

I'd be happy to further discuss this with you if you wish to contact me.

Regards,
Tree Man

Even if GOD comes and sit with us He cannot change us.
So look at things differently even a Flower or Ant can guide. Even a fool will show you what is right and wrong.
Every thing has its bad and good.
Learn Good and Bad but practice Good and avoid bad.
So learn from life itself learn from every thing.
The way we look will change the whole universe for us.
But to come to this stage we have gain knowledge and practice.
Don't believe because some so and so said so.
There should be a process.
First read or hear i.e.
1.First learn
2.Then Digest that content.
3.Then debate with in yourself or others.
4.Then Come to a conclusion and
5.Then start practicing.
Once we come to a conclusion means nothing or no one should be able to disturb it.
Believe in yourself.
In olden days if we don't believe in GOD that's Atheism in modern days if we don't believe in ourselves that's Atheism.
So believe in yourself and learn from everything.
Learn from your success learn from your mistakes.
keep one Good thought of GOD and constantly check you nonsense thoughts with that thought.
In very few days you can see the difference.

Thank you.

Wisdom is gained through experience and no one person will stay with you thoughout your life except you. Many people will influence you and you will be the one to sift out the good and bad and what is right for you. That's what makes life so interesting. We learn from our mistakes, we laugh at our foolishness, we feel emotions like grief, elation and fear. If we didn't experience all of this, we couldn't call our existence life. Stop waiting for a guide. If you must take someone with you, take God with you and get out there and live!

Sorry, dear. There's no such thing as a person that wise.
No one knows what is best for you all the time.

Take the bits of wisdom where you can find them, and make yourself the wise person.

Then, again, I might be able to help.
Now all I need is your credit card number...
;)

Your own wise self is waiting to be called upon. It's called "knowing" and "intuition" and it doesn't speak on demand. It has a soft and quiet voice that only speaks once and doesn't repeat itself. Not like the voice of fear which goes on and on and on.

It is best recognised in hindsight when we go "I knew that!!" but of course we didn't act on it in advance. Listen for it, pay attention to it, act on it and you will find within an enormous well of wisdom that will always guide you where you need to go.
