Why is everyone being so harsh and judgmental when it comes to Rosie and Elisabeth? If someone says anything judgmental to somoen here they are offended, what about these two ladies? I don't agree with half of the things Rosie says but why does everyone make this so personal. Yes she is over the top but that doesn't make her a bad person. Elisabeth is too naive on the show but that doesn't reflect exactly who she is. I read this nasty comments that everyone is making about these 2 women and wonder how their loved ones feel. They are humans, with feeling like everyone else. We need to respect that and back off. If Rosie is smart she wouldn't return.

I say if she was smart because everyone is already mad at her and no matter what she says it is going to be used against her.

I am tolerate because I am supposed to be. As a Christian I see her as a lost and hurting soul. I think if we would pray for her and the millions who think like her we could do more good than bad-mouthing and looking down on them. WWJD!

I have been thinking the same thing about Rosie today. I'm sure she's a lovely person in real life, I can't stand her politics though. And I am happy she will be leaving The View. But, clearly Rosie is having some issues, and I feel bad for her, do believe she does need prayer.

Well honestly hon, I hear what you are saying, however, Rosie doesn't think about what other people's families are saying when she puts them down. Was she worried about how the community would look at Kelly Ripa when she called her homophobic on live tv? No. Rosie is a bully, and she needs to be knocked off her high horse. Elizabeth is I agree too naive and does not have enough life experience to be talking about half of the things she does. But I am happy that Elizabeth stood up for herself and did not let Rosie bully her. Because honey if it was me, I would have shut Rosie down a long time ago!

It's a tough call. On one hand, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and they also have the right to express that opinion. Some people say Rosie is obnoxious -- she has that right. Others say Rosie is narrow-minded -- she also has that right. Still others say Rosie is rude and belligerent -- again, she has the right to be that way. Ditto all of these rights for Elizabeth. On the other hand, we as watchers or listeners have the right to say that Rosie and/or Elizabeth is/are stupid, narrow-minded, obnoxious, rude, belligerent, etc. So these two ladies can speak their minds about what they want in whatever manner they wish, but nobody says we have to like it.

Yes, these two are human beings and they have feelings, but along with their freedom of speech comes responsibility. If Rosie and/or Elizabeth get publicly criticized for expressing their views or the manner in which they did so, they earned it. If you don't want someone ragging you to the dogs and back for something you said, the obvious remedy is to keep your mouth shut. It's the height of hypocrisy to shoot your mouth off and then play the victim when the negative comments about what you said start pouring in. Freedom of speech protects you from the government taking any kind of adverse action against you just because of something you said. That protection doesn't extend to the private citizen, however. Donald Trump has every right to call Rosie on the carpet and call her any name in the book for her comments (just like Rosie has the right to call him any name in the book for his).

Question: Why do you say Elizabeth is too naive? Sounds to me like you're passing judgment on her -- is it because your political views do not agree with hers? If that's the case, who's to say which one of you is being naive? This is the one big criticism I have of Rosie: She is 100% convinced that her opinion is correct and has no tolerance of anyone who disagrees with her (that's why she gets into it so often with Elizabeth). That doesn't make Rosie a "bad person," but it does make her arrogant and narrow-minded. Does that mean that anyone who agrees with Rosie is also arrogant and narrow-minded? No. But if a person believes that another person is stupid, naive, brainwashed, etc., for no other reason than the fact that their opinions differ, that person who has passed judgment is being intolerant and narrow-minded because that person dismisses all viewpoints contrary to theirs as "wrong."

I think it is wrong to take sides in this argument. I don't feel like Elizabeth is strong enough even though she stood up for herself. She is always interrupting when anyone says anything political. She speaks for Republicans as if she is god. The Republican newscasters on FOX can hold a better ground then she can. I think she is trying to be Ann Coulter but she nowhere as mean. Rosie just says what is on her mind and people spin it terrible.

my guess is it's human nature. it is a talk show, per se, is it not? and the show is called 'the view'. you have the panel with differing/opposing 'views'. some topics will always remain 'hot': politics, abortion, smoking, whatever. now you bring this to tv, you have your panel, studio audience (constantly cackling when someone makes a 'point', & home audience. imo, the majority of the people like a catfight, and that's all that this was.

dangit, got busy working and forgot my point, sorry

bottom line, they are in the limelight, and they seem to enjoy sticking their foot in their mouths.

If Rosie were smart......................
Not likely she has to worry about that happening.
Why be so tolerant?
If she can say things to inflame, she should be able to take what she gets. Otherwise she should just stfu.
