I think it was rude once, but now is used frequently and is not so rude, like the word 'crap'. I think it means dumb, stupid or empty-headed. I hate this word, normally because it is bawled at volume by slack-jawed oafs. Please will Santa bring all the little children a dictionary each?

ive always thought of it as somebody stupid. if they say something stupid, you say 'oh you numpty!' etc
