I have to factor out this trinomial 25 x ^3 - 20 x ^2 +44 x and I have to factor out all common monomials first, I think the answer is, x(5x + 2)(5x - 2) I just want to make sure

If the last term is 4x and not 44x, yes.

Factor 25 x ^3 - 20 x ^2 +44 x
I think the answer is, x(5x + 2)(5x - 2) I just want to make sure

First. Thanks for taking a shot at it rather than just posting it for somebody else to figure out.

Second:
25 x ³ - 20 x² +44 x
Each term contains an x factor
x(25x² - 20x + 44)
Unfortunately, (25x² - 20x + 44) doesn’t have any more factors, at least, not in the real world. ;-)

Now, if the problem were: 25 x ³ - 20 x² + 4 x, that would factor into x(25x² - 20x + 4). The trinomial looks like [(5x)² -20x + 2²]
That factors into (5x-2)². So your answer is:
25 x ³ - 20 x² + 4 x = (x)(5x - 2)²

(5x+2)(5x-2) = 25x² - 4. with no middle term. You'll learn to love (or maybe hate, because you see so much of it) the form (a²-b²)=(a+b)(a-b)

But, you can always check your factors by multiplying them out.

Do not make sure.

25 x ^3 - 20 x ^2 +44 x
=x(25 x ^2 - 20 x +44)

that is all.

If it is 4x instead of 44x

then
25 x ^3 - 20 x ^2 +4 x
=x(25 x ^2 - 20 x +4 )
=x(5x-2)(5x-2)

Now, you are OK!!!

Nope. The answer is x * (5x-2)^2

(5x+2)*(5x-2) = 25x^2-4

25x^3 - 20x^2 + 4x
factors into

x * (5x - 2)^2
or
x(5x - 2)(5x - 2)

in other words, you are correct :)
