I really wanted to see the Cirque du Soleil production of Ka. I then found out the the last two rows were $70 and any good seat was $100-$150 dollars. Most name performers charge at least $100. I remember when name stars and dinner was $30. Does anyone have any recommendation? Please don't say to see Carrot Top for $55.

You can get decent seats to Mama Mia for about $50, there's also a cool ballroom dancing show at the Golden Nugget (downtown) where best seats are $39.95 each. I think Spamalot at the Wynn is $49.95 or so. (Go to www.vegas.com to see)

Another thing to consider is going to those Tix 4 Tonite booths each day - I know someone who got seats for one of the big shows for $55 each - which show right now, I can't remember - but it's worth a try!

There are, of course, many free shows in Las Vegas: The Fremont Street Experience, downtown, a sound a light extravaganza; the erupting volcano at the Mirage; the dancing fountains at the Bellagio; the pirate battle at TI (Treasure Island); the Masquerade in the Sky at the Rio; and many more. The headliners are indeed very expensive and so are the long running production shows like Cirque de Soleil. You can find special offers in many of the giveaway magazines at various hotels. Or check out Las Vegas Advisor on the web.

Ugh...Carrot Top. Enough said.

Check our the Mac King Comedy Magic Show at Harrah's. Tickets are $24.95 and the show is family friendly.

This is THE most memorable show I have ever seen in Las Vegas.

There is one small downside, being that you will have "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands..." stuck in your head for days afterwards.

If you go to the fashion show mall in the middle of the strip, they have booths where they sale show tickets with specials and cheaper prices to different casinos.
