Watching the older kids become repulsed when they found out that Luke and Leia were siblings. LOL that was great.

When I was probably 6 years old I saw Star Wars on TV, I just knew I had to grow up to be Princess Leia and marry Han Solo. I didn't become Leia (obviously) but I did imerse myself in everything SW from movies to books to websites to toys. I would find anyone I could to talk SW especially before Episode 1 came out. There was so much to theorize. We would even bet as to what would happen in the next installment. I really hope that Lucas has a change of heart and decides to either make or sell the rights to the last three installments. Long live the force!

My brother and I always played Star Wars as kids also.
He was Luke, I was Han.
We saw Return of the Jedi 11 times in the first week it came out at the theatre and a total of 27 times while it was in the theatres.
My brother and I also saw each of the prequels on Midnight screenings for each release.
We also read the books religously and I personally would love to see The New Jedi Order made into some sort of movie series, but that is improbably at best.
Maybe at least one of the storylines with Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Nothing wrong with being a geek...I'm a dork. Maybe we should get together.
Seriously though, folks. My best Star Wars memory would be taking my children to the re-release of the original movies. New Hope came out when I was 11 and up until then my kids only went to animated G rated movies. This was a treat for all of us.

Ok, I admit it. Not only am I a geek, but I'm an old geek.
I remember going to the theater to see the first Star Wars movie on opening day.
I also remember making a Darth Vader costume for the following Halloween that was convincing enough that I was asked to play "Vader" in a football game half time show for my high school that year.

My favorite scenes used to be the Princess Leia bikini or the Battle of Hoth (Go Empire!).
However, my most unforgettable Star Wars moment now was Order 66. That entire scene presented just how corrupted and evil Anakin had become and the assassinations of the Jedi brought countless silent screams of "NO!" to my mind.
But the scene there that brought a tear to my eye was the young jedi padawan who visibly flinched when Anakin lighted his lightsaber. Sniff Sniff. (WHY!!!!????)
I think they should have included the duel of Cig Dralig and his apprentice with Anakin which was in the text, but not in the movie.

I remember seeing the original Star Wars 30 years ago when it came out in the cinemas. I bought tickets and insisted my mum dad and sister see it with me. It was incredibly exciting. The opening shot of the space ship slowly filling the screen was like coming to a whole new level of what the moview could be. The characters!! 30 years later it remains the most perfect movie experience.

As a kid, I would say going to see Empire Strikes Back with my dad. He always tried to encourage my imagination as much as he could. Still does. :)
In the movies, probably when Darth Vader is putting on the mask for the first time and they got that photo strobe charging noise and when he breathes for the first time. I thought the shot of the smoke moving when he exhaled was great. It was also great to see all the movies come together at that point.
BTW- Nothing wrong with being a geek. :)

I worked at a movie Theatre in Georgia when I was 16 years old...the same time the new Star Wars movie came out. I got to see the movie the day BEFORE it came out to the general public and the day the movie came out, there were all sorts of people dressed in star wars costumes...it was awesome!

Without a doubt: The Empire Strikes Back. I was 13 years old and I saw it at the Northpoint Theater (Now closed). I didn't leave my seat ONCE while watching the film.
3 points stand out:
1)The Attack on Hoth, with the AT-ATs.
2) Han being frozen. I cried and cried for days thinking about that. Seriously.
3) The fight between Luke and Darth Vadar. I was hoping that Luke would beat him, but he got his *** whipped. And when Darth Vadar said "No. I Am Your Father," the WHOLE AUDIENCE GASPED, Myself included. I screamed 'WHAT????"
Over 27 years later, that STILL blows my mind!

Watching "The Empire Strikes Back" for the first time. I was shocked at the end! My mom stopped the movie and flipped to 20/20 and I was still biting my nails because I thought that there had to be some way that Han got un-frozen. But he didn't!
