I make it a point in my life to make things hard for bullies. Believe it or not this doesn't stop at school. Some people think they can get what they want this way their whole lives. It is fear that makes them seem popular, but be sure to treat bullies with as little respect as possible, no matter what the consequence. That behavior cannot be tolerated.

I've asked myself this one, too. My son was being bullied in class (3rd grade), and the bully was the class president! This kid would stop at nothing to increase his "popularity". Badmouthing my son to all the other kids, laughing when my son was called to the blackboard to do a math problem and he couldn't get the answer, making fun of his artwork. . .All of this behind the teacher's back, of course. And the other kids seemed to think this was "cool". But after a while the other kids seemed to have enough of his shenanigans and came to see the snotty little brat he really is. So one can only hope that all bullies get their comeuppance eventually, when people see through the facade and into their rotten souls.

Alpha complicated. you may not be a bully and be a loner. They pass out of their thank you to make friends with specific people who're fairly manipulated. Which maximum anybody is. Then they only pass after those with stable minds that have not got any want for violence. it extremely is the intimidation ingredient. This habit maintains on into adulthood while none of that stuff even concerns from now on. They finally end up being hated through maximum folk in the top. So there is justice

Bullies always seem to be popular because the kids they beat up on treat them like royalty making the bullies fell good so they dont beat them up.

Bullies are popular, but not in a positive light. They are popular because they have a very negative stigma in the majority of the people's minds.

You answered it yourself. They SEEM popular, but only because people are scared to stand up to them. Nobody who bullies is REALLY popular that's just how it appears to anyone outside the group. Seriously, do think these people would choose to be friends with someone who treats others like that. Bullies rule with fear ... same as when people who suffer domestic violence stick with the same partner even though they are abusing them.

there's a huge difference between being "popular" at school and people actually really liking you. People are nice to bullies and want to be their friend so they're not on the receiving end of being bullied and because they think it makes them look good. Believe me, I bet most of the popular person's "friends" deep down really dont like them. As you grow older you'll realise what true popularity is, and it will come to nice people who really deserve it

Bullies are not actually popular other people hang around with them so they can blend in and not get spotted and picked on.
Bullies are fussy people who eventually get picked on by other bullies. or some of them are pathetic losers who have no idea about communication and some of them get intimidated by other peoples success

Bullies often appear to have a licence for their bad behaviour, a type of 'Get Out of Jail Free Card. in itself this encourages others who may well feed from this behaviour and a seeming umbrella protection.
It's no wonder they seem to be individually popular.
