I love this man I am with and he loves me. He has asked me to marry him but he wants to move to Costa Rica. I have said yes, and I don't regret saying yes. I am happy with my decision, I can't wait to go. I just want to know some people's opinion.
He is a wonderful man. He says he is very happy with me and all. Also, I am not a stranger to the spanish language, so that will not be a problem.
Would you run off to a foreign country to be with the one you love and leave your family behind.

Oh yeah, my family and I aren't very close.

I know I couldn't move to a foreign country......but, that doesn't mean other people wouldn't be interested in that. If this is what you truly want, you'd know it and wouldn't have to ask complete strangers what they think about it. Only you know what's in your heart. Best of luck to you.

Go off to Costa Rica, and have a wonderful marriage! I cannot see any reason not to. You say you and your family are not close, so go and eventually start one of your own, and have a wonderful life together! It is certainly something I would have done with my husband, had he asked me to.

Depends, how long have you known this guy?.. please don't tell me this is an internet romance!! If you have known him for many years in the real world, then I would say its up to you. But if this is one of those virtual or phone romances, you better let people know where you are going, give an address as soon as you land at the airport and check in with the American Embassy that same day. That way if you do turn up missing they will have an idea who was responsible.

If that what your heart is telling you to go for it then go, as for me I wouldnt go right away I would want to see what he is really like before I move out of the country only because if he turned out to be a real jerk I would have more support here in the States than I would in another country. but if you feel that stongly about him go for it, good luck

That is a question that only you can answer.

Yahoo! answers is not going to give you any advice worth considering.

If it is in your heart, you love him, you ain't close to your family, do what you think is right.

It's your life....live it like you want to.
