Yes, very much so. So much so that I avoid her.
I complained about period cramps once and she said "what do you know about Period Pain, I get my period every 2 weeks....."

I think everybody knows someone like that. It must be a pretty common personality disorder.
On the other hand, another name for 'personality disorder' is 'personality'. If you can accept that they have EASB (Extreme Attention Seeking Behavior), you can just ignore that part of them and enjoy their good qualities, assuming they have some. Perhaps they are generous with their belongings, or came to see you in hospital, or are your only friend who gets along with your mom.
I just think that if you start writing off people because of just one flaw (even a rather annoying one) then you might not be left with too many friends, and you might miss out on a great one.

She's not a friend, she's a co-worker and she does this constantly. I even ventured over to the mental health section to ask if there was a name for this and most people just said that she needed a lot of attention.
One time she and another co-worker came in with bandages on their right forearms. Hers was a scrape and his was a dog bite. She INSISTED that hers was worse because it was over a larger area of skin. Even said it was all full of pus and everything. Nobody likes this person.

I know her! She is impossible on the phone, on and on about her day, her life, her whatever. The only way to get her to hang up is to grab the conversation and talk without breathing non stop about you. I swear with that method I can have her telling me she's gotta go in under 30 seconds.

I think all of us have a friend like that at one time or another just ignore them cause maybe they are trying to get attention or they just like being the center of attention . I find that if you ignore them it goes away.

Yeah. You want him? So annoying. If I wanted to play "keep up with the Joneses" I wouldn't have moved away from them.

I run across this frequently, it always makes me think of that Monty Phython sketch you know..."when I was young my father beat us to death every morning before school..."
I like to have fun with them and just get more and more outrageous and see what they come up with to top it. I don't let it bother me, we all have our quirks.

Yes, and in our "circle of friends" everyone sees it but her! We actually don't hang out or talk to her as much as we used to because of it. It's annoying!

Imagine that coupled with the "always right" mentality and you can understand why I did what I did...
Are you available for jury duty ?
