a telemarketer calls your house?
They always pretend like they dont understand English, so wouldn't it be even more fun to do the same thing to them?

That sounds fun! Usually, I don't answer the phone for them, but if I am on the phone and answer the call waiting and it's a telemarketer, I ask them to hold on, then I go back to the first call and we see how long it takes them to hang up. They are some patient little buggers! They'll hold on for ten minutes sometimes.

I do that all the time (I speak Spanish). Or my favorite thing to do when they call is to tell them that I was in the middle of something, and they usually tell me that it'll take a few moments. So I then tell them to hold on one moment while I finish what I was doing. I put the receiver down and I start moaning as if I were having sex. They usually hang up right away....

That's a good one, I haven't done it yet.
I usually just tell them to "never call me again." I used to work in telemarketing, and we'd have to call back 15 times to each house unless they spoke those exact words. Ugh. Stupid telemarketing.

It's fun! I love rambling off in German, especially when the things I say dont even make sense. But my favorite thing to do is answer the phone saying: Bettsville Morgue, You Stab 'EM We Slab 'Em! How can I help you? They usually hang up, but a few brave ones still attempt to sell me something.

I pretend I don't know English all the time. It's the best tool to get rid of unwanted people.

Ooh, isn't doing stuff like that fun. Sometimes I pretend they're asking for my dad, I do a little kid voice, then start crying that daddy is dead. It throws them a loop.

If a bill collector calls as well. Or pretend that you can't hear them... "hello, hello, can you hear me? I think my phone went dead... I'm really sorry. Don't know if you can hear this or not but I think I'm having problems with my phone."
