I asked the following question:

What can i do with these qualifications?
I'm just doing my GCSE's and wondered what i would be able to achieve. Going to do A levels in Geography, History, Economics, Philosophy and Ethics (Religious Studies) and an AS in Critical Thinking. Moving on to GCSE's and the actual question, what can i do with GCSE's in: (i know some of them are a laugh. i dont know what i was thinking at the time).

English Language
English Literature
Maths
Double Award Science
French
Geography
Business Studies
Philosophy and Ethics (Religious Studies)
Double Award Leisure and Tourism (i permit you to laugh)
Business and Communication Systems (ICT)
Half a GCSE in Spanish

And this was his reply and my additional comments:

A long career at McDonalds awaits you.
Additional:
I have a BSc. in Physics and Microelectronics and a career to go with it, thanks.
But I'm sure you'll go far with your GSCEs in Ethics (Religious Studies)

and Leisure and Tourism, and 1/2 a GCSE in Spanish.

God, what a laugh...

Now after me, practice: "Would you like fries with that?"

Additional v2.0:
Awww... bless you and your self-important hypocrisy. You do a load of crap subjects and think you're going to have a dazzling future, complain about "unoriginal insults" then go on to witter about "nerds playing runescape"... Get over yourself, you muppet. Come back in 5 years time when you've grown up a bit, read your own words again and have a good cringe.

And my additional comments
How can one say "a career in McDonalds" when i have 12 and a half GCSE's and will have 1 AS and 4 A levels. I am assuming you are working at McDonalds as your common sense seems to have left you. Just because you seem to have failed at everything you tried does not been other people will follow your suit. Now grow up and get a BTEC in being an ****. Anyway if i was to work at McDonalds i would be your boss. So up yours.

More of my a - c

You can get stuffed with your degree as i will also achieve one. Yes, i will be waiting another two years but i know i am the better person without having to use the word McDonalds and cheap, unoriginal insults. Surley someone with a degree in whatever you have can think of some unique, creative thought but no. Thats too much to ask. Now say it with me and lets have a reality check " I am a greasy nerd who plays runescape on his own without any human contact." I am afraid your degree doesnt include the ability of social skills or manners. Something one needs to be successful and a good person.

I own him and his arrogant views. Such a self absorbed prig.

If you'd have listened more in ICT you'd have learned how to cut and paste:

At least that way it isn't edited how *you* want it.

OK, you've already proved you have no sense of humour, and now you've proved you can't do joined up thinking. Which of us is running to their little online friends (remember which of us you said had no human contact?) to try and validate their comments? I would have said "argument" but you soon descending into playground-level name-calling, so it wasn't really, was it?

Seriously kid, you take yourself far too seriously. I'm pleased you're proud of your GCSEs (what grades were they btw?) but I think deep down you know they're a load of bullsh!t subjects...

"owned"??? I think not.

Have a nice life!

Your question "What can i do with these qualifications?" was a sincere one. The response "A long career at McDonalds awaits you" was not.

So you asked, would you say this guy is a *******.

Yes, I would.

Since you are a well adjusted person, respectful of others, and wouldn't go around insulting strangers, you can do the opposite. Either respond respectfully or with humor, making sure that you don't sound hurt or offended. You would only fuel and give them the reaction they were hoping for. Rather, you can say, "Thanks for the McDonald's suggestion. I was actually considering that. Have a great day!"

And for what it's worth, I believe this is an occasion to smile to yourself and consider that your life isn't that bad. After all, well adjusted individuals respect others and help others in good faith, rather than insult them. Anyone who spends there energies insulting strangers is unhappy.

Best wishes,

- Dave

He sounds like a complete plank and you should ignore him. It's obvious that, if you get good grades in all the subjects you're taking at GCSE and A-Level, you're going to be very well qualified for lots of different jobs, or higher education.

He probably just burnt him arm on the chip fryer or something, don't worry about it.

Frankly, you're both egotistical idiots with an over inflated view of your own importance! Sounds to me like he saw through YOUR pretensions.
