Do you think Portland should draft Oden #1?

I think they should go after Durant, He's ready to come in and contribute. The starters would be (When Durant is ready.) I'd give it Midseason.

SG - B.Roy
SF - K.Durant
PF - Z.Randolph
C - J.Magloire
They are in the west so being bigger is better. Off the bench you got Aldridge and Przybilla they don't need another big.

Um...no. If they pick Durant their starting lineup would be

SG-B. Roy
Sf-K.Durant
PF-Z.Randolph
C-L.Aldridge

Jack does a solid job managing the team and his job would be easy. Just pass to Durant and Z-bo. Aldridge proved after the allstar break that he's the real deal and ready to start. Magloire will be shipped off (maybe Randolph too.

But this is all a moot point becuase they can't pass on Oden. The potential is just too great, even if he takes a year or two to develop offensively. If they pick Oden I definatly see the beginning of the end of Randolph, probably for under value.

unfortunately here in portland we are on the honrs of a delima. both players are championship caliber and would be of incredible value to the blazers. mr. durant will contribute immediatly and be a great scorer and his defense is nba already. on the other hand mr. oden also would be invaluable to the blazers because of his post presence and his interior defense is remarkable. but the way i see it is, sure durant would come in and make a world of difference and add more of an uptempo look to the squad, but rarely is there a center of odens quality. lets see: patrick ewing, bill walton, hakeem, jabbar, david robinson, and shaq. thats in about 35 years... so not very many. i think that portland should take greg oden and then the big man worries would be over for a long time here in rip city. and if they play their cards right you still might see shawn marion in a blazer uniform next year. or is it possible that mr prichard could pull off another coup and wind up with both oden and durant?? or how bout a trade with atlanta for their pick? or maybe we can sneak up on boston again. but i would take oden first i just think that its the smart move. incredible big men are hard to find.

They don't need another big? First of all, Jack or Rodriguez will start at point. Second, Aldridge is a Starter at the 4/5. Finally, you think Magloire and Pryzbilla are sufficient when you could have Oden? You must be a closet Sonics fan who wants the Blazers to screw up and take Durant. That said, I think they could do just that.

Durant is a prolific scorer and could become a star, yet PG's and C's of the children and potential that Greg Oden promises are uncommon...large uncommon! I say PG also because the Bulls were smart adequate to take Rose over Beasley. notwithstanding, Oden, who has battled injuries and has no longer extremely joyful the followers and the media (and YA! shoppers) like we would have loved, yet he shows promise and robust skills. he's aggresive, blocks photos, performs sturdy protection, and is fairly engaged on starting to be an extreme and extremely helpful submit participant. i imagine labeling him a bust so early is untimely, and, properly, incorrect. i'm able to work out a Blazers followers frustration, yet be affected man or woman, he's contributing and receives more advantageous helpful.

You can't go wrong with either but a dominating center does not come around often. Oden had awesome game last season and that's because he was playing with an injured dominant hand. Blazers should take Oden.
