1. Wipe shoes clean with a damp cloth and always remember to spot test before attempting to clean anything.

2. For faux patent leather, use acetone nail polish remover and a few cotton balls to clean up scuff marks making sure to avoid touching the solvent to any embellishments.

3. Real Simple (link shown below) recommends removing marks and shining leather shoes with vegetable oil. Vaseline is also good for giving shoes back their shine, but it won’t get rid of scuff marks.

4. Howtocleananything.com recommends using a damp cloth and a mild detergent to remove the scuff. Rub with the solution, and dry and buff with a soft cloth.
