If you put the things spoken of and written down which are supposed to occur during the end of the age (not end of time), then it all adds up to the last days. It's like a puzzle where the picture comes into focus with the more pieces you connect. It all depends on your perspective and what you want to believe and accept, but there has been some incredible things happening that have been fulfilling prophecy unlike any time before.

predicting the apacolypse has been going on since Nero was throwing Christians to the lions, every turn of the Century, every end of the millenia, the 7th Day Adventists had their day in 1912, the Jim Jones cult and wacko in Waco both had their days, every passing of Haley's comet, eclipse of the sun and other end-of earth prophesies that i'm sure i missed. One thing you can be sure of, the arsenals of the US and Russia can obliterate a million Hiroshimas.....anyway, sleep tight.

If you are talking about humankind's time on Earth, we are still very close to the beginning.
The Earth is in the middle of its billion-year period in the habitable zone of the solar system--not to near or too far from the sun. Mankind has been around for some hundreds of thousands of years, and we can expect to survive here for another five hundred million years or so. We may screw things up comprehensively and set ourselves back thousands of years (we are now for the first time in a position to do this) but it is unlikely that we can actually render ourselves extinct yet.

"They" have been saying the same thing since the days of the Egyptian Pharaohs. There's always somebody shouting doom and gloom.
I'm betting the sun will still rise and the birds sing long after any appointed date given by one of these clowns.

I think such predictions have been made many times before. I also think all such predictions have been, are and shall be wrong. Men cannot predict the future. There is nothing so different now from times in the past.

Time is relative. There is no beginning or end, it is a cycle.
Much much worse things have happened in the past and still humankind perseveres.

People have been saying this forever. They would stand on boxes and yell it through the streets. The world is what we make it. Unfortunately, we have screwed it up.
