What does this mean ?

Actually, the maximum recommended is 10. Think in very general terms, what an actual *human* is going to be looking for! For example, I write a website for a restaurant owner in Memphis, Tennessee. The restaurant specializes in green beans and corn-on-the-cob. Now, I MIGHT put the word cob in the keywords, but then again, I don't really figger anyone who's lookin' for cobs'll wanna find that there restaurant! Instead, I'm lookin' for tourists. The keywords are "tourist, restaurant, Memphis, Tennessee,..." and so on! Be very careful. Choose your keywords like precious gold to get the very best search engine results!

In trying to cover all the bases with a meta-tag, someone has listed about 50 things that they think this website deals with. The "robot" that crawls the page is overloaded with stuff to categorize your site under. Cut the list back to 20 or so keywords and make sure that they appear the most often in the site without making the text lame or useless. It means if you've got a site dedicated to, umm, selling hardware, you need to take out the extra 30 or so "paris hilton lindsay lohan nude sex" etc etc tags that you wree using to try to get traffic to your site?

Just kindding, but it seems obvious what they are saying, doesn't it?
