insert a CD into it to turn off the radio and turn on the CD player
burn it to pieces
Smash it with a hammer
Get used to latino grooves
lissen to your MP3 player

Ok, well first off, what brand is it? If it is a cheap and nasty, I would expect something like that to happen. Now, as for why it does it. As I said, the actual unit itself could be the problem, but, assuming its a good brand there is a problem with the memory wire. It should be wired straight to the battery, or a circuit that has constant power. There is either a problem with the unit, or the fuse has blown in the memory line, or the memory wire has been wired to the wrong circuit or it has fallen out. Any way, it will be under warranty, so take it back to the intstaller and have him fix it.
