1. I'm pretty that most of the people posting immature and offensive questions about immigarnts are ignorant white americans, who do forget that their grandmothers or grandfathers were themselves immigrants. So unless your cherokee STOP complaining. My grandparents, same as yours, faced ridecule when they came here from Ireland and were tormented by "native " americans.

2. You complain about immigrants yet many of you employ them. You hire them to do your landscaping, clean your houses, look after your children, work at your restaurants, gas stations, 711s, so WE are the ones who benfit from their cheap labor then complain about how many immigrants are in this country. every time you buy a Big Mac at mcDonalds you are probably paying an illegal immigrants salary.

3. Most of all stop being ethnocentric assh*les. think of how your grandparents or great grandparents felt and grow up.

You're absolutely right, but because these same people have gigantic egos they will never EVER admit that ANYTHING they do or say is wrong. These same people would have a conniption fit if there were no illegals around to do their dirty work for them. Furthermore, it could do some serious damage to our economy if all the employers in this country were to replace illegal immigrants with legal American citizens, especially union workers. Prices would be skyrocketing and then all the moronic anti-illegal jerks would be singing a different tune.

your dancing around what people are affraid of- any other group of immigrants which would come to this country- it was under this countries control, the most that ever came in with a 5 yr period of time is about 2 million. those people were willing to change to become a part of this country. Now we have over 8 to 10 million in 5 yrs and those which are coming over want nothing to change to our ways or language they feel as those we must accept who they are. Its not about enthocentrism - its about how many new peopl a country can bring in before it is no longer the original country at all. I am both for and against immigration - I understnd the pros an cons to this arguement just make sure then when you stand up for a particular side you understand the facts to the matter at hand.

you also mention that unless you are native american then you are an immigrant- exceelent example - what happened to the Native Americans when too many"imigrants came in" their way of life was forceably replaced with a new one.

common sense.

First. I don't see any people complaining about immigrants,
Few object to legal immigration.
Second, ILLEGAL immigration is a serious issue.
The HERITAGE FOUNDATION has calculated the new AMNESTY BILL currently being rushed through Congress, while we sit here nattering at each other, will add an additional $2.4 TRILLION to your already too high Social Security tax bill.
That doesn't even include ANY of the other added costs.
Third: Ted Kennedy is GREAT isn't he? How much more of your future can he squander? How much more can he encourage law breakers? Does he know what it means when he swears to "Uphold the Constitution"? Should he be impeached for violating his oath of office day after day after day?

There is an enormous difference between coming to America to be IN America, and coming to America to be AN AMERICAN. Which do you suppose our ancestors, yours and mine, were coming here for?

Do you believe your great-grandparents, when deciding to pack up their lives and families, did so that they could take advantage of the freedoms and opportunities this country would afford them? Did they learn the language? Did they work extremely hard to acclimate and provide for their families? Did they EXPECT to be ACCOMMODATED? They KNEW what "a better life" truly meant, and what their responsibility was in achieving it.

You're statement (and that's just what it is, not a question) has no thought behind it.

America was founded by immigrants and the doors will always be open even to closed minded anti-Americans. We are the only true "land of the free".
